Is there an entry fee?

Yes, there is a $100.00 non-refundable deposit for the first month. If students are financially incapable of paying the fee, individuals or groups may sponsor them by contributing directly to Genesis Ministries on their behalf. Sponsors should contact Genesis at 336-344-2525 or email at info@genesisministriesinc.org.

Is there a monthly fee?

Yes, there is a monthly fee of 100.00 due by the 5th of each month. We do not wish for finances to be a hindrance to a woman being set free and recovered. If family members, churches, or other affiliates would like to contribute on behalf of any of the current or future students, it is tax-deductible and greatly assists us in being able to provide necessities for our students.

If I am accepted into the program, what should I bring with me?

All belongings will be checked thoroughly and only certain items are permitted. Nothing is required as we are able to provide all essentials via the generous donations of people in our community.
However, items that are permitted include clothes, shoes, undergarments, outerwear, Bible, notebook, flat/curling iron, blow dryer, and any of the following that are unopened: personal hygiene products, hair care and body wash, feminine products, food to share with the house, laundry detergent, and/or fabric softener/dryer sheets.

What am I NOT allowed to bring with me?

Tobacco products, e-cigarettes/vapes, alcohol, drug paraphernalia, immodest clothing, weapons, books, and anything that could be a trigger for a relapse. Upon check-in and at other random times, all items will be searched. Items not permitted at any time will be disposed of… Items not permitted while in the program will be locked away until graduation (i.e. cell phones, radios, iPods, or other electronic audio devices). Medicine that is permitted and/or taken while at Genesis may vary depending on student’s medical needs, not based on preference.

How often will I be able to see my family?

After the student has completed 3 full weeks in the program, she will be eligible for a visit with her family, assuming no disciplinary action has prevented the student from receiving a visit. Visitation days are held twice per month and each visitor must be pre-approved by staff and will be required to submit to a search upon entering the facility. Phone privileges will operate in a like manner and will be awarded to the student after 3 weeks. Phone calls will only be allowed once per weekend, during designated daylight hours; for 15 minutes duration per call. The recipient of calls will have to be pre-approved by staff. Letters via mail may be sent and received as frequently as desired but all incoming and outgoing mail will be screened by staff; meaning questionable mail may not be allowed to be sent and/or received.
